On the August 24 edition of Fox News' Hannity & Colmes, co-host Sean Hannity aired video footage of musician and right-wing activist Ted Nugent at an August 21 concert calling Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) a "piece of @!$%#" and referring to Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-NY) as a "worthless @!$%#." In the video clip, Nugent holds up what appear to be two assault rifles and says he told Obama "to suck on my machine gun" and says he told Clinton "you might want to ride one of these into the sunset." After airing the clip, Hannity referred to Nugent as a "friend and frequent guest on the program,"
Shocked I didn't see anyone post anything about this already.
They've had a problem with multiple seeds drowning valid issues. It's disgusting but he's a champion for H. I hope if he has any children they turn out to be as fine a young man as Ted Nugent. Isn't he old enough now to know better? Or is he emotionally and morally challenged? Maybe some addiction problems which are very in with important right wing mouth pieces.
Who cares, Fox News is Fox News.
Its hardly news that they live in the gutter and trade off emotion for like minded viewing figures. In any case, the brain dead that watch & believe the trash they serve up will never be detered by any logic to the contrary.
He makes folks like me look bad.
Thank you, Ted; I do not need any help.
I often wonder if the ultra orthodox of any ideology realize how much damage they do to the work of those who believe the fundamentals as they.
The ones willing to live their lives and allowing others to do the same, with the same respect
I doubt they care. I used to joke with people when Rosie O'Donnell was on The View that I wished she would just shut up because every time she said something inflammatory it made it that much harder for me to win elections for Democrats.
Seems there is a word for that ... oh yes, narcissist.
But has she ever called, however obliquely, for the murder of major politicians? Its this constant double standard where Ted Nugent can goad major Dems to "suck on" automatic weapons or Ann Coulter advocating for the assassination of Bill Clinton where you can say anything you want, no matter how psychotic, as long as you are doing it from the right. And as long as you don't making insults on groups based on their race, ethnicity or sexual orientation.
Damn Ted. Stick to what you do best. The music. I'd hate to have to throw out "The Best of......"
Of course I wouldn't. But I'd want to. That's not nice.
I can't see C. Heston acting like this, if you're going to represent the grand organization that is the NRA please for the love of the gods have some class Ted. I can talk like that but he should hold himself to a higher standard. Wait was that a double standard? No, I don't represent millions of American gun owners, he does! I'm just saying.
Aloha
Does anybody remember Ted's reality show Surviving Ted? He was completely obnoxious and degrading to his "guests" that came to stay on his Michigan Ranch.(I loved watching it) He is opinionated and controversial, that is part of his appeal.
Were his comments in really poor taste?--absolutely! I still can't help but love him. I think it is because he can be so over the top, yet I have seen him be so down to earth and normal too.
But yeah, I can see a case for an insanity plea. :o)
That's how I feel about Howard Stern. You either like him or you don't. Before he left for satellite, I listened to him every day. If he got out of hand, I kept him on but I went about my business. When he came back down to earth, I was back to listening.
It's just part of his appeal.
Hannity again distorted by claiming Obama "accus[ed] our troops of killing civilians." Hannity then asked Democratic strategist Bob Beckel: "What's more offensive to you? Is it Barack Obama's statement about our troops or Ted Nugent?" Beckel responded by asking Hannity if he was "prepared to disavow this lowlife," to which Hannity responded: "No, I like Ted Nugent. He's a friend of mine." When Beckel said that Nugent "ought to never come on your show again, and if you have him on, you ought to be ashamed of yourself," Hannity responded: "Not at all. We have you on."
Further proof Hannity has a serious attitude problem.
In my opinion, it is to bad more people/Celebrities, didn't have this same attitude, and used their influence and money to bring a lot of what he has to say to the forefront. I have viewed several of the video interviews Ted Newgent has given, and what he does have to say is a no nonsense way of looking at things. I believe we need to get back to the basics. Some of these people HAVE lost touch with the working class America, and have absolutely no idea what we are going through. If they did, reforms that make sense and implementation of those reforms could be attained, instead of just a bunch of hooha talk.
Hannity has a serious attitude problem
Gee, ya think?
